Zoo officials in eastern Idaho say two sloth bear cubs recently born at Tautphaus Park Zoo will eventually become a popular attraction but for now are being kept away from crowds.
Zoo Superintendent Beth Rich tells the Idaho State Journal in a story published Sunday that access to the bear building is restricted to make sure the cubs and mom have as little disturbance as possible.
Rich says the cubs born on Nov. 29 are doing well. She says that on the last check-up on Dec. 20 the male cub weighed 3.7 pounds and the female cub 2.8 pounds.
